Andrena Glick, FNP-C

For Andrena Glick, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Palestine Medical Group Buffalo, a career in healthcare is truly a family tradition. Her grandmother was a caregiver throughout Glick’s childhood in Buffalo, and seeing the compassion she brought into the lives of people in her community sparked something in her that remains today.

“I would sometimes help her at her patient's homes and saw how inspiring and giving she was with people,” remembers Glick. “I wanted to be like her as a child, and now as an adult. I carry her foundations into my practice now.”

As a Family Medicine provider, Glick gets the chance to provide that type of care every day. “Family Practice brings me joy, and a constant desire to learn,” she said. “I have followed many providers who have practiced 30+ years, and they would still tell me they learn something new each day – I am hoping I continue to learn and grow as a provider as long as I am in practice. And there is an added joy because of where we are caring for people.”

Glick’s practice is unique because it services a very special rural community – her hometown. She is excited to serve her community and to help them focus on starting healthy habits before they turn into health problems – from primary prevention, to milestone visits for children, to the importance setting healthy habits to carry from youth into adulthood.

“A lot of our locals have seen me grow up from a child, and I am excited to give back in a special way through healthcare,” said Glick. “I am excited to be here for them and to listen. By listening and hearing their issues/concerns when they come into our clinic, we can work together to solve their health problems and develop plans to keep them living their lives healthy and happily for years to come!”

When she is not working, Glick is spending quality time and building memories with her family.
